Study: Whole genome sequencing of Tsushima Leopard cat
show Abstracthide Abstract
The project 'Whole genome sequencing of Tsushima Leopard cat' aims to provide "reference genomes" of Tsushima leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis euptilurus), which is endangered species in Japan, for identifying useful genes for taxonomic classification, and for understanding the genetic structure. Tsushima leopard cat is regional population of Amur leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis euptilurus). Our purpose is also comparing among regional population of Amur leopard cat to understand evolution of Tsushima leopard cat. Also, to prepare the SNP information in Tsushima leopard cat, the aim of this project include whole genome analysis of several individuals. The goal of this project is preparation of genetic information to conserve Tsushima leopard cat.
